Where to begin! This will for sure take several posts but as we wrap up this year’s event it goes without saying that the list of thankyous are endless. From the dedicated volunteers and planning committee to our vendors, the sponsors that made the event possible. The 200 runners and 500 beer drinkers and thousands of attendees (we’re still counting empty kegs)
To all the attendees who came and reveled in the beautiful weather that we were blessed with to enjoy the talented lineup of bands that we welcomed with WXPN and thanks for shopping with the vendors, they were all very happy with how their day turned out.
This event is a significant undertaking, with planning almost year round to produce what seems to be an ever evolving entity. We’ve found our sweet spot and will continue to bring the programming that’s made us so successful. This event will live on as a fundraiser for the Fishtown Neighbors Association.
As I said from the stage, if you live in the city, reach out to your local civic association and get involved. Stronger neighborhoods are safer more prosperous neighborhoods. It take a village to raise a neighborhood? Do it, you won’t regret it. I got involved 10 years ago and it’s the best decision I ever made. We’ve enjoyed seeing the photos online to enjoy the event from your perspective. Here’s one of our favorites!
