From a peaceful village inhabited by the Leni Lenape Indians, to a treaty
with William Penn, to submarine building - Fishtown and Penn Treaty
Park are synonymous with Local, State and American History.
Hear stories about Fishtown's rich and vibrant past and learn about the area's first inhabitants, the Leni Lenape tribe, all within a beautiful park along the Delaware, dedicated to William Penn's "holy experiment."
The Philadelphia Police and Fire Departments will be on hand to educate local residents regarding the latest news. Also, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society will be on hand to teach us about local plant species.
Fishtown is the home of some seriously good food and we intend to have plenty of it at the Festival. Choices will abound, with special festival menus. A taste of 2009's offerings included:
- Hot Potato
- Mandy's
- O'Reilly's
- Cornerstone

- Hinge Cafe
So come hungry and prepare to nibble all day long.
